Biography
Gyedi Appiah-Pipim is a new graduate from Drew university. Gyedi was born and raised in New Jersey till graduate school brought him to Cambridge. Gyedi’s academic journey started with biology in college, he enjoyed discussing evolution, but biology wasn’t his passion. It was only until Gyedi took organic chemistry in his second year. After taking organic one and two Gyedi focused on chemistry as his major and began working with his organic chemistry professor at the end of his third year until he graduated. Gyedi began by synthesizing samarium diiodide and testing its potency with an acetophenone reduction. After graduating, Gyedi commenced his master’s degree program at Northeastern University. While Gyedi does enjoys hands-on chemistry, his hobbies include walking and reading.
